BryksBuilt lets a personal trainer charge clients, send invoices and run monthly subscriptions from the same place they build programs, and every payment goes straight into the coach's own Stripe account. BryksBuilt takes a flat 2 percent platform fee, on every plan including the free one, and never holds your money.

That is the whole feature in two sentences. The rest of this page is the detail a coach actually asks about before trusting an app with their income: where the money sits, what it costs against the other platforms, and what happens at tax time.

Why does it matter whose Stripe account the money lands in?

Because "we handle payments for you" usually means "we hold your money for a while." Some platforms collect the client's payment into their own account, then pay you out on their schedule, minus their cut, with a support ticket standing between you and a question about a missing deposit.

BryksBuilt does it the other way around. You connect your own Stripe account once, from the portal. From then on, every charge is a direct charge on your account. The client's card is charged by you, the money is yours the moment it clears, and Stripe pays out to your bank on the schedule you chose in Stripe. Our 2 percent comes off as an application fee, which is Stripe's own mechanism for exactly this arrangement. If BryksBuilt disappeared tomorrow, your Stripe account, your customers and your payment history would all still be yours.

At tax time this is the difference between one clean Stripe export and a spreadsheet reconciling three platforms' payout reports.

What can I actually do with it?

Charge a client once. Pick the client, pick the amount or a package you already priced, and send it. The client pays in their browser through a Stripe pay link, whether or not they use the app.

Run subscriptions. Monthly coaching, billed automatically by Stripe, cancelled from the portal in one click. You see each client's payment state on their page, not in a separate dashboard.

Send invoices. An invoice goes out by email with a pay link. When it is paid, it marks itself paid on the portal, the client's payment history updates, and your revenue chart moves. You can void one, too.

Refund and cancel in a click. A refund or a cancelled subscription is one action on the client's payments tab in the portal, and the ledger updates itself. The same controls on the phone are built and ride the next app update.

See the business, not just the payments. Revenue by month, active subscriptions, who is overdue, and revenue goals judged on pace, all derived from the payment ledger. Nothing is typed in by hand, so nothing is a guess.

Clients pay without a conversation. Today a client pays through the Stripe link in their email or in their browser. With the next app update they see what is due on their My Trainer screen and pay there, in an in app Stripe sheet, so the "did you get my e transfer" thread retires.

What does it cost, compared with the platforms coaches usually shortlist?

Every price below was read on the company's own pricing page on the date at the bottom of this page. Where a page does not show a payment fee, we say so instead of guessing.

Platform Entry paid plan Client payments Platform fee on payments
BryksBuilt Starter, $22.99 USD a month, 25 clients Included on every plan, including Trainer Free (5 clients) 2 percent, paid straight to your own Stripe
TrueCoach Starter, $29.98 a month, up to 5 active clients "Free Automated Payments" through Stripe on all plans Not shown on the pricing page
Everfit Pro, from $19 a month for 5 clients "Payments & Packages" is an add on from $9 a month Not shown on the pricing page
Trainerize Grow, $10 a month, 2 clients; Pro 5, $25 a month for 5 clients Not detailed on the pricing page Not shown on the pricing page
PT Distinction Basic, $19.90 a month, 3 clients Not detailed on the pricing page Not shown on the pricing page

Two honest notes on that table. First, the card processor's own fee (Stripe's, on BryksBuilt and TrueCoach) sits on top of any platform fee everywhere, and it is charged by the processor, not the software, so it does not change with your pick. Second, "not shown" means exactly that. If a competitor publishes a fee tomorrow we will put the number in this table, with the date.

What the table does show: on BryksBuilt, payments are not a paid add on and not a reason to move off the free plan. A brand new coach with three clients can invoice them today for nothing but the 2 percent.

What does 2 percent look like in real money?

A coach charging $200 a month to 20 clients collects $4,000 a month. The BryksBuilt fee on that is $80. On the Growth plan at $44.99 a month, that coach pays about $125 a month for the software and the payment rail together, and keeps the client relationships, the Stripe account and the data.

The same coach on a platform that charges $9 a month for payments plus a per client price is not obviously cheaper once the roster grows, and on a platform that holds the money the cost is not only the fee, it is the payout delay.

If you charge cash or e transfer for some clients, keep doing it. Payments through BryksBuilt are optional per client, and a payment logged by hand still counts in your metrics.

How long does setup take?

About four minutes, most of it Stripe's onboarding. From the portal, open Business, then Payments, and tap Connect Stripe. Stripe asks who you are and where the money goes. When you land back in BryksBuilt, charges are enabled and the first invoice can go out the same afternoon.

If you already have a Stripe account for your business, you connect that one. Nothing moves, nothing is duplicated.

Who should pick something else?

Be honest with yourself about two cases.

If you want a platform to hold client money and pay you a lump sum on a fixed day, BryksBuilt is the wrong shape. We deliberately do not do that.

If you sell most of your coaching through a website checkout you have already built, with your own Stripe products, keep it. BryksBuilt will happily log those payments so your dashboard is right, and you can move the subscriptions across later if you want the client side experience.

Everyone else, and that is most coaches, gets a payment rail on day one that costs nothing until the first client pays.

What is next for payments?

The pricing packages you set on the portal already feed the card gym goers see in the marketplace. The phone half, charging, refunding and the client's in app pay sheet, is built and waiting on the next app update. If there is a billing shape you need that is not here, tell us at support@bryksbuilt.com and we will tell you honestly where it sits.

Questions people ask

The short answers

Do I need a paid BryksBuilt plan to collect payments?

No. Client payments through your own Stripe are on every plan, including Trainer Free. The 2 percent platform fee is the same on every tier.

Who holds the money?

Stripe does, in your own account. BryksBuilt never touches it. The charge is made directly on your Stripe account, our 2 percent comes off as an application fee, and Stripe pays out to your bank on your own schedule.

What does Stripe itself charge?

Stripe's normal card processing fee, set by Stripe for your country, billed by Stripe to your account. That fee exists on every platform that uses Stripe. The 2 percent is the only thing BryksBuilt adds.

Can I invoice a client who does not use the app?

Yes. An invoice goes out by email with a Stripe pay link. The client pays in their browser. When it clears, the invoice is marked paid on your portal and your books update.

Can I keep taking payments outside BryksBuilt?

Yes, and it costs nothing. Cash, e transfer, your own Stripe links, whatever you already do. Log the payment manually so your business metrics stay right, or do not, it is your call.

Does it work in Canada?

Yes. BryksBuilt is a Canadian company and the two of us test it with our own Canadian Stripe accounts. Your currency shows everywhere your clients see a price.
